Embed links from Vimeo/Wistia

There is already the ability to embed YouTube videos but expanding the compatibility to other platforms and allowing for analytics through Absorb would help many.

is this still not possible 2 years later? Just checking I wanted to use my Vimeo embed as I can add chapters. I couldn't figure out how to do it in Create. I suspect I have to put it in storyline than upload the scorm file.

Vimeo vote here. We are definitely doing twice or three times the work streaming that is not necessary if we could embed from the popular sites for hosting.

Thank you for your idea! While this is not on our 2022 roadmap, we will revisit this in our Q4 planning for 2023.

I'm surprised Absorb hasn't implemented this.

We do need to embed ANY video service!

Adding: I would make do with just enabling it at this point. We have customers in China, Youtube does not work for them. So to solve this, we must upload a lot of videos to Absorb LMS instead of referring to a hosting provider like Dacast who supports video hosting both in West and China.

Example is this: Completely functional link but it just wont work with Absorb LMS.

    https://iframe.dacast.com/vod/50d40603-bdd4-318b-759c-f8804444229d/38d14570-f627-ac38-2253-3ffbc686ed1a

Also, support for NOT YouTube is critical for those of us does not want to bother with YouTube in the first place.

This idea does not get enough attention!

This. We need to host a lot of video content that is both consumable for customers and our own employees. Because we cannot embed ANY video services outside of YouTube, which is super unprofessional to use for customers, we must upload the same videos to Absorb for each object.
