Suggestion:
Add the capability for users to download .VTT files from transcriptions created in the Auto Transcription tool.
Spec Details/Options:
The .VTT file could default to the subtitle formatting already used in Create.
Three potential areas you could add this:
Add an export button to the Auto Transcription Tool screen.
Add the .VTT file as an option when selecting Publish > Download Content.
The system auto creates the .VTT file in the Media Library when a user configures the Auto Transcription Tool.
Why this is important:
This feature would give companies more flexibility with transcription/CC options in both the Absorb VMS (videos uploaded as learning objects to course shells) and for companies that export videos from Absorb for their internal platforms.
This would also be a big win for the whole absorb community. This capability will reduce barriers for content creators to improve accessibility options for their learners.
