We use buttons with the [pause slide] setting and the [on click-resume] setting to have our learners click through windows screen recordings as if it was live and they were performing the operations themselves.
The idea is to get learners familiar with what buttons to click and where they are located on the screen.
What we have found is that learners have figured out it is easier to just hover the mouse over the play button and when the video pauses, they just click the play button rather than clicking the button.
But if we remove the play buttons and navigation bar the learner cannot stop the video or go back if they missed something without starting the entire course over and this is even less desireable than being able to skip through the buttonology.
I know it might present some significant dev challenges but if we could disable the play button only when the course was paused by a button prompt, this would be HUGE for us!
Thank you for your consideration!
