Makes courses ineligible to users if they move department

We would like to have the ability to change the department in which a learner is assigned and then be able to revoke access to content that they should no longer be able to participate in. The key thing is that when the user's access is revoked due to them no longer being eligible for the course in their new department the record of their learning (including courses they are no longer eligible for) is retained.


Scenario:

  • Learner A is in a department that has access to premium content

  • Learner A leaves this department and joins a new department that is not entitled to the premium content

  • Currently when learner A logs in under their new department they are still able to see premium courses that they previously enrolled on even though these are not visible to the department they are now part of.

  • We wish to be able to revoke their access to these courses whilst maintaining the learning history.
