Ad-hoc Nudge Emails

Since nudge emails are scheduled based on the configuration set when a Course is created, the ability to send additional nudges on an ad-hoc basis would enable the ability to prompt completion of courses without the need to adjust the nudge email schedule configuration

Admins, this is a huge issue for us! Has there been any progress made?

Please also consider adding the ability to edit the nudge email delivery schedule for already enrolled learners. Similarly to what someone posted below, our leadership sometimes wants to extend due dates. We would have to re-enroll already enroll learners for a new nudge start date to be applied (and that is not a suitable option). Additionally, the only way to ad-hoc email a reminder is to curate a report and push an email to the learners, however, you lose the ability to add tags like "name", "course name", etc.

Great idea, will help when newer employees forget to configure the nudge before enrolling users....

I know I am pushing it far but it may even be useful to be able to plan the nudge by department! In a recent situation, we had too about 500 nudge emails at once for each of 2 courses and many of them did not get sent, seems there was congestion in the pipeline. So if we could spread the nudge in time, based on department, it may prevent this kind of congestion - and frustration I must say. Thank you!

Thank you all for this suggestion! I'll be taking this back to the development team to explore options around meeting this use case, and will update once we know more.

We originally thought that nudge emails could be turned on and off as needed. Since they have to be on at the time of enrollment to work, we just can't use them. In one of our curricula, learners can enroll up to 6 months before a class is even open for them to complete. If they are getting a nudge email every week for a course they can't access, it will turn into white noise. If we could turn on nudge emails when the course goes live, we would use the heck out of them.

AAAAAAHHHH, what if there was a button on the right next to edit and enrollments when you select a course that just said "Send nudge email" -> "are you sure" -> "y/n" then boom. Additional nudge email sent

Also agree with this! I just launched a course and after was asked if we can change the cadence of the nudge emails and had to tell them that we couldn't.

It would be great if we can actually choose the days of the week that we want the nudge emails to go i.e. Tuesday and Thursday in addition to the choice of every X days. It's not always conducive to have these emails sent on a Saturday or Sunday, when the employee isn't tending to work.

Also the time of day that we want them to be sent would be a great additional feature as well.

Agree 100% we just had the urgent need to get staff trained on vaccine education. The course was set up and staff were required to complete. Nudges set for them. Then 3 days later the committee decided managers must have this notification too. Now it is too late to send these automatically through the system and we are forced to compile lists, cross reference, and do mail-merges to get this information out.

I have had instances in the past as well where the timeline for nudges was requested to be changed. This too becomes problematic. These nudges should be dynamic with the course and not just a "moment" in time.
