Enable Ad Hoc Sessions and multiple class dates/times for ILCs

We have experienced difficulties while attempting to accurately schedule, enroll learners, and report on ILC training sessions that contain more than one class. We either need the option to create ILC sessions that contain multiple classes that start/end on different times and days, or have the ability to enroll learners in more than one session within an ILC course.

For example, we have an upcoming multi-day training session that will go from 8am-5pm on the first day, and 8am-12pm on the second day. We need to be able to input ad hoc classes or enroll learners in multiple sessions within one ILC to accurately record learner time for multi-day sessions that do not begin and end at the same time.

The only option we currently have is to create two completely separate ILC courses just to schedule one course. This is extremely confusing for instructors and learners, and adds extra unnecessary work for admins and reporting.

As well as the ability to add different instructors for the different sessions

Adding a user case from one of our admins below:
"I would like to ask for support with LMS. I am trying to create an ILC that has more sessions and I can't figure it out how to add occurrence dates that do not have a defined pattern but random dates. I would like to see all days in one page when I have to mark the attendance.

    10-Mar-23

    27-Mar-23

    20-Mar-23

    21-Mar-23

    22-Mar-23

    23-Mar-23

    24-Mar-23

    31-Mar-23

    17-Apr-23

These are the days of training, just for example, that I would like to capture together."

I'd like to see the return of 'Add a Class' feature to the Sessions group of Instructor Led Courses, it used to be there prior to the update that happened in the last couple of weeks.

    Agree with this Idea.
We have unfortunatly now decided to go back to forms and outlook to book our longer training programs as we have tried both re-occuring sessions (not working as you can't change individual session) and building a course for EACH module which requires a lot of time and skills for instructors to manage these sessions and enrolling/changing learners (here we also tried to add post-enrolment to ease this after input from CSM, however, that did not remove the heavy admin).

I discussed many times with absorb that this LMS is not supporting longer programs, only one-day sessions. And at the moment, my team is looking into if we should stay with absorb when we can't set up programs, and if we try to do it, it equals heavy admin for something that should be more simplified (just as an outlook calendar series)

    Thanks for your time.

One of the ILC items I run into is having multiple sessions on the same day. So for example an AM and PM session over several weeks. We want employees to be able to self enroll only for either all AM sessions or all PM sessions and there is no way to do this. I wish there were more parameters you could put into place that would allow us the ability to do this. We are currently not able to use the self-enroll or waitlist option because it gives employees the option to pick AM on one date and PM on the next.

We currently hold a session which contains 5 classes. The times are different for each class. There is no easy way to build this in Absorb. It would be nice if we could build a session which includes classes where each class can be at a different time if needed.
