It would be helpful if there was a way for admins and instructors to send ad-hoc User Conversation messages to learners. We aren't currently using collaborations so if the learner hasn't posted a comment on a course, there isn't a way for our instructors to find the learner's social profile and send them a message.
A button in the admin interface similar to the Message User button that would launch the social User Conversation feature would be useful.
