We are looking at expanding our course materials to Spanish speaking learners. We would like to see the option of selecting multiple language in the sub title menu, so our learners could select their prefered language.
Thank you for taking the time to share your idea. After careful consideration, we’ve determined that we are unable to prioritize this suggestion at this time. While we recognize the value of your request, current roadmap commitments and resource constraints prevent us from pursuing it in the near future.
Please know that your idea remains in our repository, and we will revisit it as we continue evaluating improvements to video lessons, including the ability to select multiple languages.
In the meantime, if you would like to select Spanish as part of your subtitles, this option is now available. Please see the screenshot below for reference.
Your feedback plays a key role in shaping our platform, and we truly value your contribution to its growth.
You can do this now, you just need to use "Happy scribe" software to create the subtitles from the video. Then you can either have them machine translated, or someone can translate them manually. You can then upload the subtitles in different languages and the learner can select the language they require. We usually have them machine translated, then someone who speaks the local language 'tweaks' them.
I have submitted an idea that when a video is started with multiple subtitles enabled, the user should be prompted to ask if they would like them on - and which language. https://ideas.absorblms.com/ideas/LMS-I-1918
I have attached a picture of what we use, hope I have understood correctly Thank
As the subtitles feature is enhanced, we would love to see more options. Most of our operations are out in the Phillippines so Tagalog would be amazing!
Please add the option for learners to select Bengali for video subtitles in a course. It is a common language and requested by our learners. Thank you.
