Mandatory Evaluation should be a course object - too many ignore it

Course Evaluation should be a module just like courses are. Today it is in the right side and often overlooked by our course participants, so they only have 90% completion.

A design issue I think.

Make Course Evaluation available as a learning object so that it appears as a block in people's course overview.

The new Course Player released in July is available and refined with the November 2022 release making Mandatory Evaluations at the same checklist / level as course lessons in terms of visibility and completion (under Course Tasks).

True, Patrick. If something is important, don't put it into a side bar.

Thank you for your idea. To the original request, we are reworking our next generation course player to put lessons, course uploads, and course evaluations on the same level as a checklist to be completed and next navigation and progress will include course evaluations explicitly (per our 2022 roadmap and the image attached). We think this will help resolve the problem you describe with evaluations being overlooked.

    Upvoting. I've a similar request here: https://ideas.absorblms.com/ideas/LMS-I-939
Mine pertains specifically to making some of the questions required and not necessarily making the evaluation an 'object'. I am not sure how that would work for ILC. I'm okay with where it is in the UI but, it is a pain point that I cannot set a required question in the eval.

Yes, Patrick, that would also work. The UX decision made for this is kind of odd, especially since ISO something-something has training development and evaluation as part of its requirement, so many companies would like to enforce feedback so they comply with the ISO.

I can't top of my mind remember which ISO it is.

Even when the course evaluation isn’t mandatory I’d like to at least see it at the bottom of the course or a CTA pop-up so that it's the next thing the learner sees after completing the final lesson/assessment.
