When users do not enroll themselves into a course within a curriculum, the unenrolled course does not appear on the user’s Curriculum Activity. When you click on the In Progress status and see the Curriculum Activity, only the courses the users has already enrolled in are listed. Ideally, any course not yet started would be listed showing as “Not Enrolled” or similar status. Many of our assigned curriculum's require the user to complete all courses and we need to know when a particular course hasn't yet been started.
Nicholas--I tried this and it was a great solution that made for a truly messy dashboard, but great for reporting completions. Thank you for this workaround. It is what it is where we're at.
As a poor workaround, you can add post enrollment rules to the curriculum to post enroll into the embedded courses. This of course would completely circumvent the "pace progress" option, as well as the "must complete # of #" options. We've found it helpful in some instances. It more or less turns the curriculum into a course bundle, but retains the ability to report on a singular item to measure compliance.
