It would be extremely helpful if there was a option within the course settings that would allow us to set a required review duration time for completion. The LMS would then ensure that the courses are in fact marked complete if a user has reached the required review time spent that the LMS tracks.
As an example: We have a 30 minute course, but allow for a 70% review duration time to pass. In the course settings, there would be an option along the lines of, "Review Duration for Completion". I could imput a time of 21 minutes. The LMS would then ensure that the course is marked complete when the user's transcript information indicates that they have spent 21 minutes of review time for that course.
I realize that eLearning modules can be set on how to be marked complete within the publishing software in which they are published. However, we have been experiencing many issues where the LMS fails to auto-complete courses after a user has reviewed a course many times over. It's been over a year and we still have not been provided with a bullet proof solution.
We have attempted various options but ultimately use the default publishing settings to complete courses and nothing else, no assessments, and we are still working with support to resolve this. However, an option like this would resolve this issue completely and any other similar completion issues that would present itself due to any possible incompatibilities from various software, formats or security policies on the user end and the like.
