I think it would be useful to either be able to set multiple supervisors for one individual user or be able to delineate that any user with Admin access for a specific "Department" automatically be assigned as a supervisor role
So we utilize the reviewer experience fairly regularly as we have observation checklists embedded within courses that are used as either a task that needs to be completed and signed-off on by a supervisor or as an actual observation checklist that is completed by the supervisor to evaluate their subordinate's performance.
What we have found however is that it is limiting to have one supervisor able to be set for each user because they may be occupied with other tasks leaving that checklist stuck in the "Ready for Review" phase and unable to move onto next sections in the course until that is completed. This may mean going into the user setting, changing the user's supervisor to someone else, having them complete the task, etc.
In doing some brief brainstorming one solution would be to allow for multiple users to be set as the primary user's supervisor. Another alternative could be that for every department, any user with an "Admin" permission set could act as the supervisor for ALL user's within their department automatically so if one "Admin" is preoccupied with other tasks, another "Admin" can take over and complete the checklists in the reviewer experience without having to edit the user settings.
Please can you tell us more about the multiple supervisor requirement as we are looking at Supervisor functionality this year and your use case can feed in to that.
Thank you so much. This really helps. We will consider this use case as we explore how to develop this feature.
Of course, Pamela!
