It would be useful to be able to send different session enrolment emails. We have a group of online instructor-led sessions, we want the url of each session to appear within the message text of the enrolment email. Currently the message text and subject titles are identical as it can only use one template. alternatively, could the template have a new variable inserted e.g. [Session Description text].
We have solved for this issue by adding that info to the session description and adding the Session Description to our default messages, so anything in there (which we typically limit to meeting invites w/URL) will always be added to any enrollment messages and reminders. One thing we don't like is that the information is then also visible when people look at the sessions, so theoretically, they could come without being enrolled if they just grab that info. For that reason, we create custom messages when we have public-facing courses with e-commerce. But for internal courses this has worked fairly well for us, without a lot of extra effort.
