Generate Course Share Link from Admin Side Merged

Would love to be able to grab a course share link from the Admin side. Right now in order to get it, we have to create and launch the course first. Would love to be able to get this on the back end. Sometimes depending on the enrollment rules I need to change them all first in order to grab the link.

Not the BEST solution but I noticed that the string in the URL corresponds with the LE course link. You just have to add #/online-course-player/ before the course link to get the course link.

    Example:

    https://myLMS.absorbLMS.com/#/online-course-player/<insert unique link here>

I would love this as well! Our training team sends out monthly newsletters, as well as our trainers send out their newsletters and we would love to include a link to where it would take the user to that course to self-enroll (while using SSO). If this can't work, then maybe setup some sort of communication method through the LMS in the form of an email that could pull the course name or something. IDK

For me, it would mostly be to recommend certain courses in an email, where other staff can click on the link to launch the course and then self-enroll if they're interested. They would be authenticated LMS learners yes, but the course wouldn't necessarily be populated on their Learner dashboard.

Here are two examples of uses where a deeplink would be useful:

    1. Sending an email to someone who is asking for specific training content with a link to a course recommendation.

    2. Sending an email to staff with information about a game where if they watch a course they'll be entered into a drawing.

I'll also add that since we subscribe to BizLibrary, our catalog has over 10,000 courses, and since Absorb's catalog browsing capabilities for BizLibrary is lackluster, finding a course in the catalog is difficult without being pointed directly to it.

We add the link to each of the registration notification emails so the learner can access the course right from the email. We have an SSO so need to use a deep link.

    Hello Admins!

Since the link would still require an authenticated LMS account in order to run, we've never really considered doing this as anyone with authorization to the course will already have said course populated on their Learner catalog/dashboard.

Can you tell me a little about who would be receiving this link and what they would do with it?

    Thank you!

I agree with both Christine and Carolyn.

It'd be great to be able go grab the shortcut to the course as an admin without having to go to the Learner side.

And while you can sort of figure out email templates so you can deep-link to a course or curriculum, it's it should be a default placeholder option. It should be easier than having to figure out the URL string for "https://[LMS_name].myabsorb.com/#/online-courses/{{CourseId}}" or "https://[LMS_name].myabsorb.com/#/curricula/{{CurriculumId}}" and manipulate the URL yourself in the message template.

    Thanks!

And to be able to add a field to the email templates to grab the course/curriculum link (rather than the general LMS link) would be marvelous!
