Overdue emails are found in the message template section and do not have settings to resend on any schedule. But at the course level there is a Nudge email which can be sent up to 1000 times to a user. This "nudge" is sent to remind people to complete a course both before it is due and after the due date, so you can't make the text say anything about an overdue status.
I think an overdue notification email should be added to the course level to allow for scheduled reminders. The nudge email should only sent prior to a due date. I think it is far more important to call out to managers and employees that a course is overdue, than it is to remind them in general to complete their course.
A great option would be nudges before the due date and overdue emails after. The nudge emails can't be changed, and we would like nudge emails to be a soft reminder to complete and overdue emails to be a bit more direct.
Definitely agree with Deana. Often one reminder is not enough for our staff, so it would be really good to be able to set a frequency and cadence for the Course Due Date email notification.
I agree that we need to be able to control the start, frequency, and max for both the Nudge Email and the Course Due Date Email. Nudge verbiage should go out BEFORE the due date, and the Course Due Date verbiage should go out AFTER the due date.
