A very common scenario with us is the following. A single course going out to a large audience. However, within that audience are sub-groups with different enrollment requirements (different email messages, different due dates, etc.). Since all this enrollment data belongs to the course the only way to solve it is to create multiple versions of the same course, which then messes with reporting. My suggestion is that you create named enrollments for a single course. Each of these enrollments includes availability, completion, and messaging.
I am placing this in Admin Experience but in reality it is both Admin and Learner Experience.
And the idea has been merged with the Schedule an enrollment request.

Hello Admins!
We are currently working on the first iteration that will cover a lot of what you're asking for in this request. More details will be provided soon.
Best Regards
Patryk
I think this is very complicated to do, but our previous LMS (Cornerstone) got round this by allowing you to report on multiple titles in one report. So you'd only need to build the report once, list or select all the different versions of the course, and get a full picture in your reporting.
please implement this!! having to create duplicate courses for each different due date makes course managing and reporting a total mess!
being able to apply enrollment/completion/messaging rules per "enrollment" instead of at the course level would be very helpful to our admin population and teams who may want to make a course mandatory or not.
