I have content that needs to be visible to multiple departments with additional rules, such as not being visible to a particular country or language.
I have to add 10 separate rules if I need it visible to 10 specific departments. Within each rule, I have to select the department, add two rules for the countries it should not be visible to, and then add at least another 3 rules to cover language requirements. It therefore takes around 10 minutes just to add rules to 1 piece of content and I currently have ~150 pieces of content that need rules added, so this is a lot of work. This workload then increases as I add more departments to cover each language so that each language can have its own template.
A solution, which is how other LMS' such as Cornerstone work, is to allow you to select multiple criteria for a rule. For example, if the rule is about departments, you could choose 'department', 'is only', then tick the departments you want to include. You can then add another condition to cover the countries and a third condition to cover language.
The result would be 1 rule per piece of content instead of 10-30 rules.
Going through a similar process right now. This would be so helpful!
This would be helpful for post-enrollments too.
