Allow for a course to be visible in more than one category. Merged

On our platform we have set up most of our courses in specific categories. We did this via:

Courses > Edit Online Course > Catalog Visibility > Category

Absorb only allows us to choose one category.

We now have a few courses which fit into more than one of our categories. We would like the option to have our learners find these courses in multiple categories.

I agree - we'd love to see this functionality to make the LMS more valuable to our users and the organization.

Adding a vote, as our firm could definitely use this feature for content that is cross-functional.

We would also find this hugely beneficial. Have had instances of courses being duplicated to allow for this, however this causes our WD integration to fail due to duplicate course titles. Multiple categories would eliminate this issue.

This would be beneficial to assist with government reporting.

We could also use this in many ways. Please push forward.

Totally agree with this idea 100%. I also have courses which need to fall across different teams - having a multiple category option would solve a lot of challenges and head scratching.

We also have this requirement. For example, a course might relate to budgets, but also relate to settings. Additionally, we'd like to be able to do the same thing for the PDFs stored in Global Resources so that they show up in more than one folder.
