We have the need to offer online courses with mixed target groups for auto- & self-enrollment.
- Auto-enrollment: a specified target group shall be enrolled automatically (mandatory for them) and they should receive nudge emails. Upon completion, a certificate should be issued. Based on the completion, after 1 year, they must repeat the course (via automatic re-enrollment).
So far so good and all manageable.
- Self-enrollment: the target group shall have maximum flexibility to enroll into the course but should be excluded from the above mentioned settings of autom. re-enrollment and the nudge emails.
Today, this is not possible - self-enrolled learners receive same settings that are meant for the auto-enrolled learners.
Duplicating a course is not an option as we are talking about 1 course and not different courses.
We (Evonik) are going in the same direction. We want to make certain courses mandatory for a specific target group and at the same time continue to display the course freely for everyone else. This is not possible so far and we would have to duplicate the short. It would be very helpful to get this possibility in the tool and to decide "independently".
