ILC Session Reminder Email System Improvements

Currently, ILC Session reminder emails are measured as a time from when the learner first enrolls in the Session. It would make much more sense and would be much more helpful for the emails to be able to sent out on a timed basis instead based on when the ILC Session is scheduled to occur. This would allow us to do things such as:

  • Send a reminder email 1 day before the ILC Session

  • Send a reminder email 1 hour before the ILC Session

Currently, we need to use a 3rd party email service to send out mass reminder emails with any consistency. It would be much better for us, our admins, our instructors, and our users, if it could all occur within Absorb.

    I agree. We need the ILC Session reminders to go out at the following intervals:

    • Send a reminder email 1 day before the ILC Session

    • Send a reminder email 1 hour before the ILC Session

    I agree that this is necessary. Reminders based on enrollment date are pointless. The important thing is when the ILC session will actually take place.
