The results don't show in any Report!
The only columns that show in a Report are the Yes/No field. The content, like Observer's Comments, do not show in the Report.
Andy by the way, if you go through the trouble to go to that Learner's results page to read the Observer's Comments on-screen, you can't even print the results.
As an admin, when I want to review and analyse the observation checklist activity why isn't there an option to select multiple courses or all courses in the dropdown. It would be helpful if we have the option to select more than one course or all courses instead of a radio button restricting us to select only one course.
Thank you for your understanding Rick, we will keep working on this and striving for more open communication and transparency.
Hi Robert Szustakowski,
Thank you. I appreciate your honesty, transparency, and the details provided.
I'm hopeful that the recent changes in Absorb's Customer Service (beefed up Help Desk and this new Ideas portal) will improve the quality of the information that Customers receive.
Thanks again,
Rick
Hello Rick,
Thank you for the follow up, I’ll do my best to address the concerns you outlined:
Regarding the Learner being able to see the comments for their checklist and results -this is an enhancement which we are working on, however I cannot confirm which release this will be available in quite yet, once that is finalized, we’ll add an update here. I initially interpreted the scenario from an admin reporting lens, but the term Reporting is used broadly at Absorb, apologies for the misunderstanding.
For the detailed view of a checklist’s result in a standard reporting format, with filtering – this is certainly something we would like to improve, I’ll outline our team’s development priorities as a part of the last item.
I appreciate and understand that the additional costs for Analyze can be prohibitive, I just wanted to make sure we let you know about this as a possible option. It can take us a long time to get enhancements into the main product due to the sheer backlog of work we have and not informing our clients of where their needs can be met elsewhere seems remiss. We don't intend this to be a sales pitch in any of our posts.
Regarding the state of Admin Refresh, given the broad scope to update the admin experience we had to take an approach where the most used functions were converted first. When a critical mass of features was reached, the decision was made to start rolling this out to clients, so that they could benefit from the updates and we could get feedback on the improvements and to help inform 'what's next'. The value being this version also includes several back-end performance improvements and our newest features, including Observation Checklists. The completion of the Admin Refresh is one of many priorities among, Analyze, Create, Integrations with our Partners, and more. With regards to Observation Checklists, I'm sorry that the functionality of this feature was misrepresented to you. I'm confident that no one at Absorb would ever do this intentionally.
Regarding the Observation Checklists feature, the following is the list of immediate priorities:
Notifications for Reviewers
Learner View of Checklist Reviews
Learner Self Review
Expanded Admin Reporting for Checklists
Thank you, Robert Szustakowski, for your Reponses. I'd like to respond to your Response.
So, yes, the Admin CAN drill down to eventually see the Checklist Comments. The Learner still has nowhere to see what Comments they earned.
You have a Report that can't be formatted & printed by Absorb. All the others can. Please FIX THIS.
You mention additional reporting can be done by Analyze. I have no interest in paying more and purchasing additional modules from Absorb at the current time.
I understand that you addressed "the most common checklist use-cases". That is NOT what your Customer Success people advertised to us. We were told that Admin Refresh is ready to go. It was not. You should've come clean and TOLD US, "It's a work in progress... please try the current features so far and tell us what else you need."
Thanks for listening,
Rick
It is tiresome to see that this forum turns into just a big push for us to purchase analyze. This typically doubles the price of working with Absorb and is very prohibitive as such. If you want our ideas on how to improve, telling us that these things are hidden behind a paywall over and over is disappointing.
Hello Everyone,
Wanted to clarify that it is possible to see the comment along with the overall result for the checklist, attaching a screenshot showing this.
Regarding the printing issue for the summary, the browser's print function can be used, although we do acknowledge that we don't have a built in print function for this currently.
In respect to additional reporting, this is possible in Analyze, which is a premium feature, I would recommend reaching out to your Account Manager for additional details if you are interested.
To address the comment on this feature being incomplete, we released an initial set of features to address the most common checklist use-cases, however we recognize that there is opportunity for additional functionality, and this is something we want to incorporate as capacity allows in the coming year.
Observation Checklists are a great idea, half baked. Not being able to pull the fields is a huge detriment. Please fix this!
