When a user is added to ADP, they are added to the LMS. When we have auto-enrollment rules set up on courses, new users are auto-assigned to courses the minute they are added into the LMS. Often times these courses have due dates of X days after enrollment.
The issue this causes is that new learners are assigned to content well before their actual hire date, and often times the content is overdue on their first day of work. This is a poor user experience.
Absorb should build a rule with the ADP sync that says, "Do not add new or sync users until [Hire Date]."
Thank you for your consideration!
This is currently available and turned on for new ADP integrations. Existing integrations can have the date rules updated upon request. Please contact your Absorb support representative if you would like this feature turned on. Thank you.
Thank you for this recommendation. Absorb will be reviewing this for feasibility and effort and we'll report back on our findings.
Joy... I'll add to this comment as there are courses we have where we want to schedule the auto-enrollment for 10 days out or say 45 days out from the new hires [Hire Date]. It would be wonderful if the rule were in place to eliminate the auto-enrollments prior to the [Hire Date], but could have course enrollment rules options available to auto-enroll courses for new hires based on their Day One or any number of days out from the hire date.
