Since automatic enrollments trigger immediately when a Learner meets the condition required, new learners may receive a large number of automatic enrollments. The ability to configure a delay based on a date field can reduce the volume of day 1 enrollments and provide a better pace of content for the Learner
This has been a huge pain point for us as you think about new hires and spacing out course enrollments based upon the hire date. For example day one for the new hire I need a curriculum assigned to the learner to start which is based upon the hire date, where at 30 days from the hire date I need an automated compliance course or goal planning course "pushed" to the learner. Currently we have to manually calendar this and manually enroll the learners as the capabilities for automated enrollments is not built into the rule options.
