When you archive a course in the system the course will no longer appears/displays (PDF) on the Users Transcripts. FDOT had to develop a solution to create a "Archive: Inactive Courses - IC" Category to note these courses. Reporting is done by selecting this Category for reporting purposes.
***I would recommend when an System Admin marks a course Inactive - this course will display on the Users Transcript as an Inactive Course/Date. Users want historical training records. You may want to create a section that all the Inactive Courses will display on the User Transcript. Thank you, Shawna Strauch - FDOT LC System Admin
Hi Admins,
Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for not getting to this idea sooner, we are currently making a concerted effort to work through our ideas backlog and we hope you will see response times improve in coming months.
We are happy to report that this feature is available in our product, whereby a course is marked inactive, the record will show on the transcript provided that the "show inactive and historic enrollments on transcript" is on.

I absolutely agree. There should be an easy way to archive a course such that 1) learners can no longer take the course, 2) it still appears in a learners enrollment/transcript for historical reasons. As it is, if you want the course to be visible you have to add some word to the course title (like ARCHIVED) AND remove all automatic enrollment rules so no new enrollments can be done without Admin permissions.
Agree, there needs to be a way of removing old courses and restoring them at a later date (with user information attached). As an admin we have 100s of courses that will never be used, many with 0 enrollments (because staff/students have been removed). I want to get rid of them but if I delete, I'll lose all of the learning objects.
It would be helpful just to be able to ARCHIVE course etc. So that Learners and reports show that learning has taken place. We are having to place ARCHIVED in front of course titles and keep them active. Not the tidiest option.
