Google has announced that they will be ending Universal Analytics and those properties will no longer process data as of July 2023. Absorb currently only allows Google Analytics to be set up with Universal Analytics properties and will need to transition to GA4 so admins can continue to use Google Analytics to analyze system use data.
For those landing here looking for some guidance on how to implement analytics on Absorb using GA4, the whole process is explained in this article:
https://support.absorblms.com/hc/en-us/articles/17615981772563-Tracking-History-in-Absorb-with-Google-Analytics-4-Google-Tag-Manager
Please, bear in mind that first approach might not be much accurate on most of the cases, and you may want to go directly with the second one there explained.
Also, in our case, we face that 'page_title' not always reflect the real title for the page visited, which may cause some issues on reports.
(For this issue, we raised a ticket on the support platform, hope this get solved soon.)
Is there any update on this? Will Absorb be supporting the transition to GA4, or will our analytics tracking stop when the Universal Analytics properties are decommissioned on July 1, 2023?
