Change Multiple Courses' Categories in a Mass Action Merged

Edit Courses/Curriculum > Catalog Visibility > Category

It would be very helpful to be able to edit multiple courses' Category with one mass action. Once a Category has outgrown its utility new ones will naturally need to be created. As it stand now, its a one by one process to recategorizes over 100 courses.

I wish I could add 10, or 100 votes to this.

This is a great suggestion and I think it should follow the same functionality of departments. If I want to change a department for a user, then I need to select the user, choose edit and change their department. This is the same way categories work for the course, resource and competency categories where they need to be selected with each. However, when I choose more than one user, I get a "Change Department" option that appears on the right menu. Carrying that thought forward, I think it would be equally helpful to be able to select multiple courses, resources and competencies and have a "Change Category" option appear. For clients with multiple courses, resources and competencies this would be a massive time saver.

In addition to category assignment, I would love to see more mass actions available, for instance - assigning a course expiry date or inactive status. Ideally, I would love to see bulk AICC upload that could function similar to a CSV upload of users. Even the ability to do actions in sets of 10 or 50 would be helpful over having to open each course to change very standardized features such as category, expiry, active status, comments, etc.

Yes, please! I need to put several thousand courses from a Library into a specific category and it's going to take staff ages to assign categories one-by-one.
