Need the ability to bulk update the supervisor field. Example: John Q Supervisor quits and has 100 direct reports. Need to bulk update the supervisor field for these 100 users. As it stands, this field is not available for bulk user updates. Manually updating the supervisor field for 100 direct reports will take 1-2 hours.
Same here, we recently integrated our LMS to another HR Platform, we thought this one can be address since we mapped the supervisor field, but then we cannot automatically linked the members under their Direct Reports. I thought the process would change and the direct reports can be populated base on the fields and the Manager Experience will be automated.
I think the supervisor field should be deleted. Now the Manager experience is in place its just confusing to have a supervisor and a manager field. To be a supervisor you have to switch on the 'Admin' toggle which means this user then gets access to the admin console. If you assign them a department with a reporter role then they get access to lots of users they don't line manage. Its all a bit of a mess.

I would say this not only for the supervisors but also the managers space if you don't use the supervisors field. Or, give people the ability add add and update users in bulk and edit the manage using the Manager ID or another unique identifier.
For an LMS to perform jobs instead of have a bunch of features for its administrators, and thus hold value, these types of changes need to be implemented, then used to sell the platform on the automation and time savings it provides. I have an import with this specific data going into a custom field (Sup Name & Sup EID#), when instead it should link to the supervisor via the primary key (EID#), thus automatically updating, just like all of the other pertinent user data.
YES! I posted a similar request in February. Our Direct Reports are constantly changing supervisors, so to update this manually is too much overhead. I had to create a custom column/field to track this instead.

When a user is deleted a prompt should appear listing their direct reports and where to reassign them.
Any update on whether this suggestion might be implemented?
Please implemet this, I spend HOURS manually updating 100's of supervisors and this can be easily fixed.
Agreed - this would even assist if a user went on leave for an extended period of time - we could easily swap over their direct reports to another supervisor while they are away
Yes! We have a separate field for supervisors and groups dedicated to this field in order to sort and review. Unfortunately, this limits what we can do with emails and notifications within Absorb.
