Within the "New Course Player," I foresee many of our users clicking the "Next" button that takes them to the next lesson, rather than the "Next" button to advance within the current lesson.
There are two solutions that may help. See below:
(Preferred solution) The "Next Lesson" button does not appear until after the specific lesson is completed.
The "Next Lesson" button is inactive until the users has completed the specific lesson.
I have included an attachment that shows how confusing the current layout would be for users.
I find the entire learner interface difficult to navigate for 3 reasons - 1) No more course landing page; 2) Duplicate lesson navigation - Rise/Storyline navigation plus Absorb course navigation; 3) Duplicate previous/next buttons - Exactly what is shown in the screenshot.
I agree with the suggestion that Absorb's next button doesn't need to show up until the very end of a lesson. If users want to jump around between lessons they can use the course navigation. Otherwise seeing the button suggests that they would want to click it, and at the very least makes them think each time about which next button to click.
Agreed. This is a very confusing design with multiple navigation buttons.
Agreed. The new learner experience player adds an extra layer of confusion for learners. There should never be competing navigation systems.
