Visually showing the learner that a new course is added will attract more attention. When courses are sorted alphabetically, new courses added might go unnoticed.
Currently we solve this by updating the course thumbnail with a GIF of a "New" tag flashing across a corner, that highlights that this is a new course within this catalogue. The issue is that we have to manually go in and edit the course thumbnail when it's been there a while. We'd like to see this be automatic, so the "New" highlight would be added when a new course is made and removed after a period of time.
Similarly, we use "Updated" highlight on the course thumbnail to show a course has received a major update. Something to also consider when reviewing this idea:
