With close to a thousand courses and multiple administrators, course creators and subject matter experts involved with maintaining up-to-date content, we are looking for better reporting to be able to identify when the last review of a course has been completed, and who is currently responsible (owner) for that content. The creator and date edited are not reliable fields over time as admins change and varying levels of edits are made to courses.
Hello all,
Thanks for sharing this idea. Do you imagine that this would be a report where you take actions like messaging the owner, reversing a change etc or would this be a report for insights about course ownership?
Big vote for adding a 'course owner' field. We have many course owners and need a way to track and maintain content. I also vote for 'last review' date so we know the course has been reviewed for relevancy, and by whom etc.
Big upvote for this idea! I wish I had seen this sooner because I posted the same idea today: https://ideas.absorblms.com/ideas/LMS-I-3573.
We currently use "Vendor" as our course owner but we bring in several third-party vendors which take up that space. An "owner" field would also be useful for our admins.
A "last review" field is a HUGE need for us, as we're a heavily regulated organization.
Another vote for this! As the main LMS Admin I oversee everything including the Create content, so even though I edit/publish it I don't own the content as this stis with the Subject Experts. Being able to add a separate content owner and review date means we can pull reports or check to ensure the content is accurate and still relevant and contact the relevant owners.
It is so important to be able to identify when was the last review!
