Due date to be setup for users/department/group, overriding the course configuration

Current challenge:

Currently the due date to finish a course is setup on a course level, which allows only two possible scenarios:

  1. a due date is set for all users with access to a course

  2. no due date is setup, but manager needs to monitor and follow up with users for completion outside of the platform

Since different departments may have different setups for the completion of a course within their department, the managers want to have a fixed due date or period after enrollment setup only for specific department/users/group. Other users would still be free to complete the courses at any time, if not restricted by their managers/head of departments.

Proposed solution:

Once the admin/manager selects the users and courses/curricula to force enrol them, a second section should be available to select Due Date (from enrolment or date and related attributes) that will be applicable only to the previously selected users.
