When updating saved report layouts, the save button doesn't appear until you scroll down the list of saved layouts to the name of the layout that is currently open.
If a report has a large number of saved layouts, this makes updating multiple layouts time consuming. Sometimes it means that to update a saved layout, you need to scroll through hundreds of reports twice - first to open it and again to make the save button appear, then repeating the process for each report that needs to be updated.
We have been advised that there are two conditions for rendering the action buttons in the Saved Layouts menu:
First condition: If the “selected” layout does not appear in the list, then it renders just one button (“create new”).
Second condition: If the “selected” layout appears in the list, then it renders the four icon buttons.
Here are some potential improvements:
Show the save button/four icon buttons at all times
Jump to the currently opened layout in the list automatically
Allow saved layouts to be updated in bulk (e.g. selecting multiple saved layouts and adding a new filter to all selected in one hit)
