Why is not already implemented? Almost every platform I work on (HRIS, ATS, etc.) offers field level permissions and security. There are fields that you want certain people/groups to see and other not while others should be read only. This would impact the entire platform: reporting , report layouts, UI, etc.
So, when implemented each field would have three field permissions:
Hidden/Visible
Read-Only/Modify
Required/Optional
BTW:
The fact there is no security category under the Ideas portal just proves my point. Security needs to become a priority in Absorb to mitigate risk. At least implement it to protect yourselves. Please let's help Absorb and your clients stay out of the news.
