At our organization, often times, we have multiple sessions occurring in one week taught by different people for different audiences. It is nice to have a master ILC calendar to be able to see when classes are occurring.
This is especially helping for our training coordinator. She is responsible for scheduling out our onboarding sessions each month. The master calendar helps to confirm that we are not overlapping sessions for new team members. Currently, we have a L&D outlook calendar that we add all Absorb session dates/times to. We color code these based on category as well (ie Onboarding is blue).
I have included a screenshot of our L&D master calendar as an example.
We use Google Calendars and the Add to Calendar button only works for Outlook. This causes confusion among our learners. And... it's awkward telling them that the button can't be removed or fixed to work for Google. They get the Google calendar invite, but still the button has garnered some frustration.
Our ask was mainly for the learner, the option to see what's on in the upcoming weeks and months.
Of course it should also be available to administrators for their scheduling purposes.
Thank you for your idea! As mentioned, can you clarify if this is from an admin or learner perspective? Sounds like from an administrative perspective, so if so, then we can merge this idea perhaps with: https://ideas.absorblms.com/ideas/LMS-I-111
If from a learner's perspective, we can perhaps merge it with: https://ideas.absorblms.com/ideas/LMS-I-237
Please do confirm if this idea is for the admin side or learner side. Thank you.
There is another idea for this already, go vote for it!
We desperatley need this funtionality
