This feature is not available, as learners can only enrol for multi sessions if they are part of a series. We should not restrict learners from being able to enrol and complete more than 1 of the same sessions, where these may be months or years apart - but this new feature doesn't work as expected as it only allows them to enrol onto another session if it's part of a series.

This feature does not work for us. We cannot enrol someone in two ILC sessions at once using our Salesforce flow. We need flexibility to schedule non-standard cadence sessions. We want to be able to edit the dates/times/day of week for individual classes within the session.

Agreed. Please hurry with this. It will dramatically improve reporting, administration, and UX. Plus, it will seriously increase efficiency when hosting ILCs. At this point, my company has elected to just stop using the ILC function because it we always have a program with multiple sessions, and it is so time consuming to build multiple ILCs with different sessions. Feels like we aren't getting our monies worth.

I agree with the original poster and the most recent on Drew. Our company also does Lunch & Learns, Micro Mondays, etc each week or month being a different topic so that's going to be a lot of ILC setup in the system. We also do have a trainer who trains new hires weekly and she has a 1-hour session day 1, two 1-hour session day 2, 2 1-hour sessions day 3 - hopefully you get the picture. We have to create each 1-hour session as a separate ILC and for her she will probably have 5 or 6, then we have to somehow put them into a course/curriculum. It would be nice to have the ability to create multiple sessons for one course (ILCs) where the learner can enroll in each of those sessions within that course without having to create separate ILC. I hope all that makes sense. It's early :)

We also run into situations where we would like to have users attend multiple sessions under one ILC course. For more than one use case as well. Main being a need to run a series of sessions NOT on a fixed schedule that recurring sessions may allow, and our only way to presently accomplish this is to create multiple ILC courses for what is one course. We could put them all in a curriculum, sure; however, you run into the problem of not being able to put curriculum inside the curriculum. The BEST case scenario I'd see is to make ILC sessions a course object that can be included with Online Course. Blended Learning is a significant gap and hurdle for us in the Absorb LMS

As far as why run them through LMS? It's our best way to efficiently handle enrollment (sign-up), tracking and then the repetition. Using the LMS saves much manual time to do the same outside of it.

@Paul, we use the LMS because we have reporting requirements to our funders for these training programs. We need to know unique attendees, when they attended, and which training across the entire LA County. Hundreds of learners a month. We could track this using Spreadsheets, as we did for several years, but now with most trainings being virtual anyways it made sense to move to an LMS.

We run them through the LMS because we want all our training to go through the LMS, for enrollment and tracking.

We record attendance and do prefer to have a record of attendance.
We run those through zoom and don't currently have capacity issues.

    Hello Admins!

This is a very interesting enhancement request. It sounds like the sessions you have in mind don't have a capacity issue, don't have the notion of completion awards, and would be open to anyone. Can I ask why you run them through the LMS?

My company often does ILC's on back to back days; many of my users want to enroll in both sessions. The fact that they are not allowed to seems very counterintuitive. Please make this happen.

We have bi-weekly lunch & learn and need to close a new course every time, instead of adding a session. We need a way to handle these kind of lunch&learn better!

This would be incredibly helpful. Our learners may opt to take a course several times, and currently they can only enroll in one session at a time!

I agree with this. We have some courses that have recurring optional sessions. We'd like people to be able to sign up for any or all off the sessions they want, and/or to be able to sign up for another session even if they completed a session previously.

The ability to enroll 1 user in multiple sessions for 1 course when the sessions do not happen on a re-occurring basis. I think there should be an on/off button in the edit section of the course that indicates if the course requires multiple sessions for 1 user or change the re-occurring requirements to choose different days/times.

This will be useful when sessions do not meet the re-occurring requirements.
