For online courses, there is currently no option to add an instructor. I would like to add the instructor for each online course for multiple reasons, but there is no ability to do this.
Adding an instructor field:
Enables the instructor to show up on a certificate
Allows the learners to filter or find certain instructors they enjoy
Provides more information to the learner before they take the course
My organization would really benefit from having online instructors. In addition to the reasons above, this would allow admins to assign instructors to view learner progress, view assessment data, and grade open-ended quiz questions. If course and assessment data could be added to an instructor dashboard, this would be incredibly helpful.
Love this idea. We currently manually add instructor name and title to courses. And if we could save each instructor (and a bio) in the system backend, you could set it up as a pulldown option for courses.
