When competencies are assigned to curriculums or course bundles, when one of the certificates expires within the bundle or curriculum we would want the competency to show as expired (like a certificate) as a refresher of knowledge should be required to remain competent.
This should come from recertification or recompletion of training content.
If badges are always showing when someone is no longer recognised as competent, this is a huge flaw in design which would mean people are falsely showing as competent although certification may not be up to date.
An idea may be to make the badges transparent for the competency when they are expired to show it was achieved but is no longer valid?
