PIN Reset Functionality and Username Retrieval

The current PIN reset process requires administrators to send a reset to the learner. Learners should be able to do this themselves by initiating a reset link sent to their email address on file. The current process places the administrative burden on the learning and development teams. Learners regularly forgot their username and PIN and there should be a learner-driven automated process to assist with resets and username retrieval.

Great idea - PIN Reset so Admin do not have to complete the laborious task for 250 people!!

Once a year we host annual training, and people obviously forget their pin.

It would be great is the Reset PIN option was available in the Manager Experience.

Commenting just to express this is a big frustration for our learners as well. While it is easy to reset the learners pin for an admin, learners should not need to contact support in order to complete their training on time if they forget their password. This interrupts the learners flow of work and is quite inconvenient for the end user.

Agree with this - admin support on pin reset has created a downtime for users to accomplish this task, especially if pin issues are encountered for a large scale of users

It would be beneficial if a supervisor could reset a PIN without requiring the ability to edit a user's profile.

An API endpoint for resetting PINs would also help alleviate this pain point: https://ideas.absorblms.com/ideas/LMS-I-1794

Ok, so if not 2022 then when? This is a huge time suck for admins. The current process is not efficient.

Understand because 2022 is almost over. What about early in 2023? We have 5600 learners in our system and my team has seriously had to reset over 1000 PINs so far in the last 6 weeks of a company wide compliance training rollout. Between the staff time to do that, the learner time to request it, and our support desk to field calls that come in - this has been a huge time and $$$ suck - for something that should be easy to set up. Please reconsider and add to the list for early next year. We use single sign on, so requiring a PIN is a complete waste of resources.

Unfortunately, this is not a priority in 2022.

Completely agree. We just launched compliance training to our whole organization this morning. 5600 employees. I've already reset 75 PINS, and the courses have only been launched for less than 6 hours. I imagine that will be all we're doing for the next two days. Please consider this and get it done. If it can be done with a password, it should be able to be done with a PIN.

It would be great if users can reset the PIN by themselves. This has been a constant support request for our internal IT team, also saves users time as well.

I agree! We are the midst of a compliance-training cycle and I have accomplished very litte this week outside of resetting PINs!

Completely agree with this. It's great to be able to utilize the PIN feature when including an E-Signature learning object, but if it's not used constantly by learners, then the learning team ends up receiving a high volume of emails. It would be wonderful if learners could re-set this themselves.
